    • Lot18 acquired Tasting Room in 2013 - including the company's patented machine that transfers wine from regular-sized bottles into our signature mini-bottles without lowering the wine’s quality in the process. By joining forces, the two companies can provide you with an unprecedented level of selection, service, and savings.

  • Who is the actual wineseller?
    • Tasting Room’s mini-bottle tasting kits are packaged at a partner winery in California that operates our bottling machine. All subsequent wine shipments are sold under our Lot18 license.

  • How does a wine end up in my Tasting Kit?
    • Our team of wine experts has selected the distinctive wines in your mini-bottles because they fit a particular spectrum of flavors and styles that helps us determine your preferred varieties of wine.

  • What is the purpose of Tasting Room’s Tasting Kits?
    • The six sample-sized wines included in your Tasting Kit provide the opportunity to encounter a variety of styles and flavors in order to discover those you favor - and those you should skip.

      By rating your wines, Tasting Room can make informed selections and create a truly personalized wine experience tailored just for you. Our goal is to ensure that each and every bottle you receive pleases your palate.

  • What if I forget to rate my Tasting Kit?
    • You're not required to rate our mini-bottles. But doing so enables us to absorb your feedback and calibrate future selections.

      But if you do forget to rank your Tasting Kit, no worries. If we don’t hear within 30 days from when you placed the order, our wine curators will select a range of award-winning, customer favorites for your first shipment of regular-sized bottles.

      Of course, you can log in after you receive them, and rate the wines in your kit – at any time that suits you.

  • What is my Wine Profile?
    • Based on your Tasting Kit feedback, we generate your Wine Profile - a detailed explanation of the kinds of wine that match your individual tastes.

      After sharing which styles and wines are right for you and why, we'll suggest other appropriate grape varieties, and regions of the world where you're likely to find great value.

      Whether you’re visiting our Bottle Shop, searching for particular foods to pair it with, or grabbing a bottle from the local wine shop, check your Wine Profile for our recommendations.

      Whenever and wherever you're drinking wine, your Tasting Room Wine Profile will help you make the perfect pick.

  • Is this a subscription?
    • Yes! Our standard subscription features 6 bottles of our award-winning wines conveniently delivered to your door monthly. But you can personalize your subscription so that you receive 6 or 12 bottles every 1, 2 or 3 months. The 6 bottle subscription consists of 6 individual bottles of wine, whereas a 12 bottle subscription has 6 different dual bottles of wine.

      Visit your Account, open “Manage Subscriptions” and update your preferences on the top right of the page.

  • I love Tasting Room - Can I send it to a friend as a gift?
    • We recently changed our gifting policy so gift subscriptions are no longer available at this time. Please feel free to check in occasionally for updates as this is subject to change in the future.

      Rest assured, those who partially redeemed gift subscriptions before our recent site migration were issued the corresponding amount of points to cover the remainder of the gift subscription along with additional points to cover any inconvenience.

      Points cannot be applied to recurring subscription orders but you may visit our Bottle Shop webpage and apply any points to purchase retail orders.

      If you have yet to redeem a gift subscription you were given prior to the migration, please reach out via our support page.

  • Tasting Room’s Tasting Kits are so ingenious and super cute! Can I purchase it separately?
    • A monthly subscription isn't required to purchase a sampler Tasting Kit or full-sized bottles. You can do that on our Bottle Shop retail webpage! However, you'd miss the opportunity to complete our virtual tasting survey.

      Submit your Tasting Kit results, we modify your preferences, and then send full-sized bottles only when you've purchased a Tasting Kit as part of your initial monthly subscription.

  • Can I adjust my wine profile after I submit my ratings?
    • Yes! Please reach out to our support page and let us know how to adjust your personal preferences. We’ll update your Wine Profile and send you bottles that are sure to delight.


  • How can I become a member of Tasting Room?
    • To enroll in our wine club recurring monthly subscription, please sign up here and answer 3 tasting preference questions. This will lead you to create an account where you can enter your personal information.

      Please agree to the Terms and Conditions where you accept receiving the Tasting Kit and the following month’s order for 6 full-size bottles at $75 plus shipping and tax. Click “Open Cart” and proceed to checkout.

      To complete your order, please add your shipping and billing information.

  • If I purchase a Tasting Kit am I immediately subscribed?
    • Yes! Purchasing the Tasting Kit for $9.99 automatically subscribes you to Tasting Room’s monthly wine club.

  • How do I know you’re sending the right wine for me?
    • We’re an international collective of winemakers and carry the best wines from around the world. With over 100 years of combined experience, our wine curators apply the most exacting standards to every wine they taste.

      That’s why you receive only the best bottles, vetted by our somms, and selected to fit your Wine Profile.

  • How often will I receive wine shipments?
    • Once you rate your Tasting Kit, your first shipment will be processed promptly - typically the following day.

      If after 30 days you have not yet rated the wines in your Tasting Kit, we’ll automatically send a selection of 6 full-sized bottles of customer favorites for your first shipment.

      After your first shipment, you’ll receive 6 bottles of wine 1 month later. After that, you can adjust your shipments to accommodate 6 bottles or 12 bottles delivered every 1, 2, or 3-months. All shipments will be sent about the same time every month.

      Nothing to think about, your wine will automatically arrive at your doorstep each and every month.

      You can adjust shipment frequency or modify shipping dates by logging into your online Tasting Room Account tab at www.tastingroom.com/account and selecting Manage Subscriptions.

  • Am I obligated to continue with Tasting Room for a certain length of time?
    • By subscribing to Tasting Room and ordering our Tasting Kit, you are agreeing to purchase one shipment after rating your mini-bottles. So you have the option of purchasing a regular membership and canceling after the obligatory first month, full-sized bottle shipment.

      After the first full-sized bottle shipment is processed, you will automatically receive monthly shipments. You can login into your account and select 6 or 12-bottle shipments delivered every 1, 2, or 3-months. Or you can cancel the subscription without any additional fee.

  • Do I have the option to cancel?
    • Once you receive your first full-sized bottle shipment, you can cancel your membership at any time, for any reason.

      To cancel your subscription please contact us by visiting our support page

      Canceling your membership will eliminate any unprocessed upcoming orders. Please note that any orders processed before a membership cancellation request cannot be cancelled and will still ship.

      There is no penalty for canceling and once you do, you will no longer be billed.

  • Who decides which wines are right for me?
    • You do. Because you play an active role in this personalized process - but with expert guidance from our wine curators, of course.

      Based on your responses to the Tasting Kit and the Wine Profile our system generates for you, we refine your selections so that you receive bottles that suit your tastes.

  • How can you offer such fine wines at such low prices?
    • After rating your kit, unless you cancel, you’ll receive your first shipment of wine. Your first shipment will be processed as quickly as possible after you rate your kit – typically the following day. If after 30 days you have not rated the wines in your Tasting Kit, we will automatically send a selection of 12 customer favorites for your first shipment. You’ll receive a new case of wine 2 months after we send your first case. All shipments thereafter are sent every 2 months. You can modify your shipping dates at any time via our website or by contacting Member Services. There are no forms to fill out, phone calls to make or emails to send. The wine comes to you automatically, unless you call to cancel.

  • What is your privacy policy?
  • How do I customize my shipments?
    • Customizing shipments is easy! Simply log into Tasting Room and head to your “Account” page. Click “Manage Subscriptions” and choose the “Club Management” option.

      Select “Products in Your Subscription” and swap out your bottles by clicking “swap” next to the bottle you’d like to change.

  • What if a bottle is not to my taste?
    • Everyone's tastes are different, and we want to be sure that the premium wines we send delight you.

      So, if a wine doesn't meet your expectations please let us know and give you full credit toward your next retail purchase in our Bottle Shop.

  • Can I cancel my order?
  • Can I change my shipping address at the last minute?
    • For one hour following your purchase, you can change to your shipping address. Beyond one hour, it may not be possible to process that change, since our vendors are committed to expeditious delivery.

      To change your address, please log in and head to your “Account” page. Then click on the “Manage Subscriptions” page and select the option for “Address & Shipping Information” where you can edit and add your preferred address.

  • What if I need to put my subscription on hold?
    • You may delay your shipments by editing the date of your next order. Simply log in your account and select Manage Subscriptions. Go to the top of “Your Wine Club Subscription” page and change the date of your next order.

  • What if my shipment arrives damaged?
    • Our fulfillment partners take great care to ensure that your wines arrive in pristine condition. If you believe your shipment has been damaged, immediately contact https://tastingroom.com/pages/support so that we can find an appropriate solution.

      We may request that you return the damaged product and provide a photo so that we can avoid future issues of a similar nature.

  • What if I refuse my shipment?
    • If your order is undeliverable and returned to us, we’ll process the return and refund your card, minus original shipping charges, in addition to a $15 return shipping fee.

  • How do I return my product?
    • If you want to return your wine, please clearly mark your shipping address and the order number so the return can be identified with your account. Send your unopened box of wine to: We Ship Express,118 Aker Drive, Cobleskill, NY 12043.

      Then, please be sure to provide your shipment’s tracking information to https://tastingroom.com/pages/support

      Once we’ve received your return, we’ll notify you via email, and refund your card in full - minus any shipping charges. But your return must be back in Tasting Room’s possession in order for you to receive any refund.

  • How long does it typically take for orders to ship?
    • Wine orders typically ship via UPS Ground within two days and are delivered within two to six business days, depending on your location.

  • When will my wine samplers arrive?
    • Your wine samplers will arrive within two to six business days.

  • Can I have a product shipped internationally?
    • At this time, Tasting Room's vendors can ship products only within the continental United States.

  • Should I ship to my home or work address?
    • We strongly recommend that you use a business address whenever possible when shipping wine, as someone 21 or older must be available to sign for the shipment. Wine cannot be shipped to P.O. boxes.

  • To which states does Tasting Room ship?

  • Will I have to sign for my package?
    • Someone 21 or older must be available to sign for shipments containing wine. Please note that if delivery attempts are unsuccessful and a shipment is returned to us we will process the return and refund your card, minus any original shipping charges, and charge a $15 return shipping fee.

  • Are shipments insured?
    • Tasting Room does not offer members the ability to purchase insurance on shipments at this time. If you receive a broken bottle or otherwise damaged order, please Get In Touch. Please take a photo of any broken or damaged products, as this may be required for us to file a claim with the carrier.

  • What if my shipment is not successfully delivered?
    • Our shipping partners typically make several attempts to deliver a shipment. If your order is undeliverable and is returned to us we will process the return and refund your card, minus any original shipping charges, and charge a $15 return shipping fee.

  • Holiday shipping deadlines
    • Order wine by 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline date to ensure delivery by the holiday. Please note that these dates are subject to change due to extreme weather. We will do our best to communicate any deadline changes in advance.

  • What is the Bottle Shop?
    • You can use the Bottle Shop to shop for wines from the Tasting Room wine collection. The Bottle Shop allows you to build an order containing 2, 6, or 12 bottles specifically selected by you. Use it to order more of the wines you love, or to try wines you haven’t yet received.

  • Are Bottle Shop orders part of my club shipments?
    • No, Bottle Shop orders are additional, optional orders you place at your own discretion. Bottle Shop orders do not affect the contents or timeline of your upcoming club shipments. Those shipments will still be sent as scheduled with wines selected to match your profile.

  • Who can order from the Bottle Shop?
    • Bottle Shop is available to anyone currently subscribed to the Tasting Room wine club.

  • What wines are available in the Bottle Shop?
    • The wine list in the Bottle Shop is comprised of wines that are currently in stock, including both wines that you have and have not received.

  • When will my Bottle Shop orders be shipped?
    • Bottle Shop orders are processed to be shipped as soon as the order is placed.
